The start of a beautiful relationship....

I feel I ought to introduce myself in order that we become better acquainted ...I am a forty year old student (still have not decided what I want to be when I grow up!) with two sons, DS1 is a wonderful 17 year old and DS2 is a precocious 4 year old, both fill my life with joy and challenges lol.

I am studying at the Tasmanian Polytechnic for an Advanced Diploma in Tourism Management which is the reason behind this BLOG, as part of my studies I wanted to share the passion I have for my home state to a wider audience. And so developing this blog is now a part of my assessment in order to achieve the Diploma.

I love my home state, it is bred into me. I am a 9th generation Tasmanian who loves to travel around this beautiful island as much as I possibly can. I feel I have an advantage as a Taswegian in that I have plenty of insider knowledge of where to stay, what eat and how much it will likely cost.

This was not the case when the family drove across the Nullabour Desert two Christmas' ago. Talk about your proverbial ducks out of water!! I realised just how tricky travel can be and how much we must have been missing out on as we knew nothing of the places we visited, alot was discovered in hindsight!

As a Tour Guide I feel obligated to enhance as many peoples experience of Tasmania as I possibly can but as self confessed technology dyslexic I have been to slow to embrace the social network, but no longer! Look out cyber space here I come...armed with my travel plans, tips and pitfalls.

I will give you a totally biased view of TASMANIA, a personal recounting of my experiences in order that you can perhaps experience it all yourselves one day, this place has to be on every ones BUCKET LIST, it is simply the most beautiful place in the world. (Told you I was biased!!)

My next post will be about a class trip to the Tasman Peninsula and wonderful things we crammed into 1 day.

Til then....happy travels

Tammy
